£30 million Regeneration Scheme

The Brewery Quarter is set to become Cheltenham’s premier retail and leisure destination. NFU Mutual is currently in the process of developing a £30m retail led expansion to the already established Brewery leisure scheme in the centre of the town. The new development will create a high profile retail corridor from the vibrant High Street giving pedestrian access to a one stop shop where consumers can shop, dine, stay and play.

Once complete in Summer 2017 this new landmark development will comprise over 100,000 sq. ft. of prime retail space, a £6m 104 bedroom Premier Inn and 34 modern town centre apartments. Up market Loungers brand – Cosy Club will also be taking an exclusive 5,000 sq. ft. first floor bar/restaurant that will overlook Cheltenham’s High Street with its stunning Regency architecture, while SoHo Coffee Company will open below them on the ground floor.

The project – which commenced in September 2014 - will link the existing 200,000 sq ft leisure complex with Cheltenham High Street. The Brewery Quarter currently has over 3 million visitors per year and has a varied leisure offer including 11-screen Cineworld and IMAX, the luxury Screening Rooms cinema, Hollywood Bowl and a large choice of restaurants and bars – with the newest addition being a 5,000 sq ft Brewhouse and Kitchen – pub and microbrewery - which opened in May 2016.  Coast to Coast restaurant and Babel bar will open in 2017.
