Cheltonians are in-store for yet another treat at The Brewery Quarter as Babel prepares to open its doors to the public on 14 October.

Known in London as one of the hottest cocktail bars in the city, Babel prepares to bring its unique take on classic cocktails to Cheltenham with a knock out list inspired by a melting pot of cities and cultures. Some highlights to look forward to include the simple Sakura, Babel’s ode to the ultra-refined drinks language of Japan and the Pink Ramos, a modern riff on the New Orleans Gin Fizz.

Along with a supreme cocktail list, Babel will offer a number of specialty drinks from hand-selected lagers and wines to premium spirits and mixers.

The menu is born of several scintillating sections including “Greens and Grains” for those looking to fuel up on super food salads featuring the best pairings including pickled beetroot, edamame, whipped goats cheese, roasted pecans, quinoa and micro greens. For those looking for a little more indulgence Babel’s modern take on old classics will have you yearning to come back for more with must-haves like the Caesar Club Sandwich or panko breaded fish goujons with hand cut chips, zesty herb salad, mushy edamame and tart mayo. Whether you’re after something “Clean and Lean” or some well-deserved “Sweets and Treats”, Babel has a freshly produced dish just for you.

Open for lunch and dinner during the week and from brunch until late on weekends, Babel is the perfect place to meet and socialise with friends and family. Those enjoying after work drinks or kicking off a night out can complement their drink selection with a variety of small plates and sharing boards perfect for informal snacking and sharing including pumpkin hummus with crisp fried flat bread or Babel’s own unique take on Nachos.

Staying true to the essence of the original Babel in London whilst also having its own unique look, owners have pumped close to £1million into The Brewery Quarter venue which will also create around 20 jobs for the town.

Steve Cox, Managing Director for Faucet Inn which owns Babel along with 15 other venues across the UK said: “We’re really excited to be opening the doors to Babel on 14 October.

Our whole ethos is about creating a unique environment where people want to come to enjoy great food, wine and cocktails together and we’re sure that at our new home in The Brewery Quarter will do just that.”
